Project Details
A short crossing under 4th St. in Washington DC was needed to tie an inlet into the larger Anacostia River Project while keeping the roadway open to one way traffic. Soil borings suggested the presence of flowing ground. The work crew pumped permeation grout above the crown of the proposed crossing to solidify the soil prior to jacking a 60” diameter steel casing under the roadway.
